Dr. Bethlehem Admasu Yayina is a highly accomplished internal medicine specialist with extensive experience in clinical care, medical education, and healthcare leadership across Ethiopia and Kenya. A graduate of St. Paul’s Millennium Medical College, where she earned her MD with the highest level of distinction in 2019, Dr. Yayina completed her internal medicine specialty training in 2024, graduating as the highest-scoring female resident. She holds a Senior Internal Medicine Specialist License issued by the Food and Medicine Administration and Control Authority in Addis Ababa. She is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine of the UK, one of the world’s leading institutions for continuing professional education in healthcare.
Currently, Dr. Yayina serves as an Internal Medicine Consultant and Head of the Internal Medicine Department at AGC Tenwek Hospital in Bomet County, Kenya. In this role, she leads departmental operations, provides specialist inpatient and outpatient care, and mentors both interns and residents.
Previously, she held dual appointments in Addis Ababa as an Assistant Professor at St. Paul’s Hospital Millennium Medical College and as a Consultant Internist and Medical Director at Addis Medical and Surgical Center. Her contributions have extended beyond clinical practice into academia and administrative leadership, including advising internal medicine residents on research projects and leading institutional collaborations.
Her postgraduate qualifications include a diploma in Executive Community Leadership from Jönköping University (Sweden) and Addis Ababa University, reflecting her commitment to inclusive and impactful community engagement.
